Building Special Memories - Our 2nd Anniversary

Vincent and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary with an out of town trip. This is also our second trip to Laoag and Vigan.

2 years of being together, our ups and downs, our childish acts, all of those out of town trips, our never ending midnight kwentuhan at home, malling, food trips and many more. It was really nice that I found somebody as special as him.

We were in Laoag and stayed at Balay Da Blas for the first two days of our out of town trip.
*All of them were very accommodating. The nice receptionist even asked me if I was feeling okay because I had a husky/hoarse voice. She advised me not to talk anymore and to drink ginger tea. Two thumbs up for this!
The mini garden, this is where you will eat your breakfast.
We stayed at a Junior Suite.
We went to the following places:
St. William's Cathedral and Sinking Bell Tower
Paoay Church
Herencia Cafe (near Paoay Church)
2 in 1 Pizza (Pinakbet Pizza and Ilocano Pizza)
MalacaƱang of the North
 Paoay Lake
On our third and fourth day we stayed in Grandpa's Inn Vigan and just roam around.
Calle Crisologo
Vigan Cathedral
Bantay Church and Bell Tower
Looking for pasalubong
I am thankful that during these four days that I am sick, he took very good care of me.

It was just so easy and fun being with him, knowing he could fill in the blanks when I couldn't explain something.

To him:
I swear that I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together.

Pagudpud - Boracay of the North!

From our Laoag and Vigan Trip, we went to Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. It is a 3 hour ride from Laoag City. You can board and ordinary bus (last trip is 6:00 PM) or Florida Bus (but you must check the schedule first).

We arrived at Pagudpud Central Plaza at around 9:00 PM. Our tour guide Kuya Jomar was nice enough to fetch us and bring us to Polaris Beach Resort.

A room in Polaris Beach Resort costs around 1500 Php good for 2 guests.
The following day our tour with Kuya Jomar started at 10:00 AM. It was a rainy morning that day but we were more than excited about the tour and we enjoyed it very much.
Here are the places that we visited:
Paraiso ni Anton
(This is were some travelers get clean water to drink)
-They say if you drink water from it, you will be healed.

Aqua Grande Picnic Park
*we decided not to enter the park because it was raining
Patapat Viaduct
-This bridge is elevated 31 meters over sea level, is 1.3 km concrete coastal bridge that connects the Maharlika Highway from Laoag, Ilocos Norte to the Cagayan Valley Region.
Timangtang Rock Formation
-This bell shaped rock formation is a just a few meters Bantay Abot Cave
Bantay Abot Cave
-It is not really a cave, it looks like a hill with a hole. Bantay Abot Cave is a few minutes away from Blue Lagoon. This is located just across the final bend of Mairaira cove.
Blue Lagoon
*Hannah's Resort in Blue Lagoon
Bangui Windmills
-The windmills, officially referred to as the NorthWind Bangui Bay Project, were a project by the NorthWind Development Corporation as a practice renewable energy sources and to help reduce the greenhouse gases that cause global warming.

Cape Bojeador Lighthouse (Burgos Light house)
-It is the most accessible of all the lighthouses in the island of Luzon.
-The 66-foot-tall (20 m) octagonal stone tower, the most prominent structure in the vicinity, can be seen from as far away as Pasuquin town in the south and Bangui on the east on a clear day.
Kapurpurawan Rock Formation
-Kapurpurawan means "Kaputi putian"
-It is created by the force of the ocean on the rocky coast of Burgos. The formation of these shapes of lime stones is due to sedimentation and weathering.
*The road was bumpy and rough. You need to go downhill and trek to reach the rock formation.
*It gives a breathtaking view of different rock shapes that can completely amaze tourists that will visit the place.
*Kapurpurawan Rock is the prized treasure to be discovered.
Now I know why Kuya Jomar said that this is a must see.♥

We were not able to visit Kabigan Falls because of the bad weather. Maybe next time..
Thank you to our tour guide Kuya Jomar. He was very nice and he was the one who took most of of our pictures together! You may reach him at 09203183945. The tour costs 600 Php each North and South.

Pagudpud Ilocos Norte is probably the farthest place north of the Philippines I’ve been to so far. Is a place to relax and enjoy. To say that me and Vincent had a great time during this tour is an understatement. Both of us really had a blast!
