Sample Room: Try Before You Buy!

I came across this site months ago that says "Try before you buy" and that tag line made me really curious. It is a local sampling site that offers local to international brands and from upscale brands to budget great finds.

This is good for people who wants to try the products first before buying a full size. Take note, they sometimes offer full sized products for free! (which I really love!♥♥♥) Sample Room lets you try free samples and you just need to pay for the shipping fee and they will deliver it right to your doorstep. You just have to register and they will give you free points (100) upon registration. Each corresponding sample has a given number of points to be availed. You will use your points to avail the free sample. Click here for more.

Their website was really nice and easy to navigate. The colors are very girly as if everything in their website will make you pretty and sexy! Ahaha!

They have a lot of brand partners. Some are AHAVA, benefit, C-Lium fibre, Calvin Klein, CarbTrim, Charm, Clinique, Celeteque, Dove, Ferrari, Mustela, Shiseido, OraCare and many more. Products mostly are for skin care, skin lightening, perfumes, hair care and some slimming products.

I was able to get samples twice. I will make a review in my next post.

Check out Sample Room PH on their Official page, Facebook page, twitter feed and their Instagram @sampleroomph

Fernandina Garden Suites

As I was browsing where to stay because I really want to take a time off but I wanted to stay in the Metro, I came across this sort of new hotel located at G. Araneta Ave, Quezon City. They have this Piso Nights promo "stay for 2 consecutive nights and get the 2nd night for only 1 peso."

I booked through directwithhotels.com. We stayed in a standard room last August 27-29, 2013.
Their standard room has a Queen size bed, air con, cable TV and mini ref. We transferred to another room because they cannot open the door of the comfort room of the first one.

The location was quite hard to find because the driver was not familiar with the hotel. It is located beside a warehouse and around a residential area.

The experience was just okay. They have 15 rooms. The room is nice but the food for me is expensive. Also as to what we experienced, the wifi connection was very poor.

On our second day, the receptionist called us to inform that there is a payment for extension. I just told her "2 days po yung reservation namin." Maybe she overlooked our check in dates.

We tried their breakfast (complimentary) - tapsilog and we also ordered Club house sandwich that I really like! Ahahaha! Good thing the food was nice.

If you will stay here, choose a room that is far from the road.

Keni Po Tagaytay!

Every time I visit Tagaytay I usually stay at Keni Po. Why? because the staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are budget friendly, clean and comfy, nice and clean swimming pool, it is located in a very accessible place and they have a fast internet connection!

We visited Tagaytay again last June 12 and 13, 2013.

They have a parking area that can fit 10-12 cars.
 *Day time
*Night time
It is located beside Ina ng Laging Saklolo Parish.
They have this nice little garden with swimming pool.
This is their 6 feet pool (It was really clean)
Guests are also allowed to bring and grill food. (look at them! so masipag!)

On our first day we stayed at the second floor twin sharing room that costs Php 1200.
This is their second floor lounge.
The room has a single bed, air conditioning unit, veranda, flat screen TV with cable and DVD player (Note: you can borrow dvd and they have a lot of movies available) and a comfort room with bath tub.
On our second day we stayed for a while with our friends. They arrived early and they have plenty of time to go to the market and explore the place.
Their room is located at the ground floor family room that costs Php 2000. The room is good for four and their staff is nice enough to allow five guests without additional payment. They also allowed me and Vincent to stay in their room for around two to three hours without additional payment also.
The Family room has a small living room, kitchen, comfort room, bedroom with two beds and air conditioning unit.
We really had fun staying at Keni Po, looking forward for Part 2 with these pretty girls!

It's More Fun in Baguio City!

After one month of preparation for his birthday celebration trip, we decided to go to Baguio City. We inquired to two transient house and decided to choose Lyn's Transient Homes (0922-8313352) located at 79-B City Camp Alley, Baguio City. It is located near Burnham Park, Session Road, City Market and restaurants.
We visited the Orchidarium and the Panagbengga Landscapes Association exhibit in Burnham Park

We went to Burnham Park and Baguio Cathedral, walking distance from Lyn's transient home.
And went straight ahead to Wright Park. I'm very excited to go up the long stairs going to The Mansion.

We had lunch at Visco's Restaurant and Cake Shop in Session Road. I ordered Waldorf Salad and Beef Lasagna for him. I really wanted to try the strawberry shortcake but decident to order my favorite decadent chocolate cake.

We actually swap meals. He's really not into Parmesan cheese. Ahahaha!

The following day we went to Camp John Hay and was excited for the Tree Top Adventure. Unfortunately there were students from Brent International School and rides will be available at 12PM. We can only take one ride, the Silver Surfer!
Upon arriving the Tree Top Adventure, there will be an orientation and you need to buy at admission ticket worth Php100 which is consumable.

Assembly Area
Canopy
Tree Drop Adventure
Our Silver Surfer Adventure.
It was really fun! I was nervous and excited!
This picture was a bit expensive for Php250. It comes with 5R and 2 wallet size.
Wwe went to Good Taste restaurant near Burnham Park for our Lunch.
Each meal costs Php85 only!
Before going home, we went to Mines View Park to buy Pasalubong.
We had a great time celebrating his birthday! Baguio will always have a special place in our hearts, the cold weather, nice taxi drivers, the food and the tourist attractions! Overall, we had a great time!
